A man in his sixties tragically lost his life after being hit by a lorry on the A4 Bath Road near Marlborough this morning (December 4). The collision occurred around 10:40 am on the eastbound carriageway, close to the junction with Golding Avenue.
Wiltshire Police responded promptly to reports of the incident and confirmed that the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The lorry driver stopped and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
Enquiries continue to identify the man’s next of kin. Authorities are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or may have dash cam footage to come forward.
