A man has tragically died following a collision in Bridgwater, Somerset.
Emergency services were called to Barhams Close at approximately 6.30am on Monday 17 August after a pedestrian was involved in a collision with a Mercedes Sprinter van.
The pedestrian, a man in his 50s, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.

Avon and Somerset Police have issued an appeal for witnesses or anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward. This includes those with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from around the time of the collision.
In a statement, the police said: “We are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information related to the fatal collision in Bridgwater this morning. The incident involved a pedestrian and a Mercedes Sprinter van in Barhams Close at around 6.30am. The pedestrian, a man in his fifties, sadly died at the scene. His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers while enquiries continue.
