Plans have been submitted to create two travellers’ pitches and a communal day room on East Mead Lane in Walton, a small village near Street, Somerset. The proposed site lies just west of the village allotments and close to a planned residential and commercial development behind The Royal Oak pub.
Currently, the land is occupied by five stables and an agricultural barn, which was approved for construction in 2021. The new proposal includes two mobile home pitches, space for two touring caravans, and a communal day room.
