Outstanding Teacher Training Centre in South West

The Cabot Learning Federation, a teacher training college working with 28 schools across the South West, has been rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted. Of the 28 schools, all have been rated ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ in their most recent Ofsted reports.

According to the report, The Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) SCITT provides a curriculum that celebrates diversity and champions the values of equity and inclusion. The provider intentionally seeks trainees committed to overcoming disadvantage and developing a deep understanding of educational underachievement. Trainees are equipped with a “brimming ‘toolbox’” of strategies to address behavioral issues among pupils, with a focus on behaviour management and creating positive classroom cultures in different contexts.

Former trainee Jasmine Garcia-Perez described the level of support received as the best thing about training with the CLF SCITT. The carefully sequenced learning process, practice in school environments, and continuous support have left a lasting, positive impression on trainees.
