Osip Michelin-starred Restaurant Introduces Boutique Rooms

Renowned Michelin-starred restaurant Osip, situated in the upscale town of Bruton, is set to unveil a transformative addition in June 2025. Owner and chef Merlin Labron-Johnson, acclaimed for his emphasis on farm-fresh produce and sustainable dining, will be offering guests the opportunity to stay in one of the four beautifully crafted rooms above the restaurant, further enhancing the holistic dining experience.

Designed by Johnny Smith of Smith & Willis, the rooms will exude a blend of serene minimalism and opulent handcrafted details, seamlessly connecting guests to the idyllic West Country surroundings. Embracing a sustainable ethos, the materials used in the rooms are locally sourced and crafted, staying true to Osip’s commitment to environmentally conscious practices.

Each room features exposed beams, oak floors, and a neutral color palette, complemented by live-edge English Oak furniture made from trees within a 10-mile radius. Two of the rooms boast freestanding bath tubs, while the other two offer spacious walk-in showers with stone flooring and unlacquered brass bathroom fixtures from Studio Ore.

As part of the stay, guests will be welcomed with a selection of treats from the kitchen, including delectable canelés, bespoke cider from Maison Osip, and artisanal apple juice. Toiletries from Maison Osip, crafted in collaboration with Harvest using seasonal British botanicals, as well as organic cotton robes from sustainable label Coconut Residence, will further elevate the guest experience.

In addition to priority restaurant bookings and complimentary breakfast, guests will have access to a dedicated concierge team facilitating local transfers, arranging tours of the Osip farm, and providing assistance with itineraries and exploration of nearby attractions.

Osip, with its stellar culinary journey that started in central Bruton in 2019, achieved its first Michelin star in 2021 and a Green Michelin star in 2023. Following its relocation to a larger site with its own land in 2024, the introduction of The Rooms at Osip marks a significant milestone in the establishment’s evolution, offering an immersive and luxurious lodging experience starting at £300 per night, inclusive of breakfast.

Bookings for The Rooms at Osip will be available in May, inviting guests to indulge in a distinctive stay intertwined with the essence of the restaurant’s farm-to-table philosophy.
