In the early hours of Sunday, July 6, a serious accident occurred near Yeovil, South Somerset, when a black Audi A4 crashed into a house in the hamlet of Stapleton. The collision left three people in the car seriously injured—one critically fighting for life and the other two with life-changing injuries.
Emergency services, including Avon and Somerset police, firefighters from Martock, Yeovil, and Somerton, and paramedics, responded swiftly to the scene on Long Load Road around 12:20 a.m. Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to free the trapped occupants from the vehicle before transporting them to hospital.
The impact caused significant structural damage to the house, forcing firefighters to stabilize the building with support props. Thankfully, no residents inside the property were harmed during the crash.
