Olivia Dean has reportedly turned down an opportunity to headline Glastonbury Festival next year, choosing instead to concentrate on writing new music. The 27-year-old artist was said to have been offered a headline slot at the iconic event, where Harry Styles is rumoured to be set for a main stage performance.
According to reports in the Daily Mail, Harry Styles is the leading candidate to headline the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2027. An insider revealed that Olivia’s team entered talks with the festival organisers about a potential headline role, which she found very flattering.
“Olivia’s team had conversations with Glastonbury about headlining in 2027 and she was extremely flattered. But after some reflection, she said she wants to take some time to work on new music next year, with a rough plan to return when her third album is ready. Of course, if she did it next year, her name would be right next to Harry’s and she just wants to move on from that now. She’s happy for him to have his moment, but she doesn’t feel like next year is hers.”

Prior to these developments, there had been speculation about a relationship between Olivia Dean and Harry Styles, though nothing was officially confirmed, with the pair reportedly “getting to know each other.”
Olivia Dean recently made headlines after breaking a significant chart record alongside fellow artist Sam Fender. Their collaborative track, “Rein Me In,” has spent 19 non-consecutive weeks at number one on the Official Charts, surpassing a record previously set by Frankie Laine’s “I Believe” in 1953.
Despite competition from various World Cup anthems climbing the charts at the same time, “Rein Me In” maintained a strong hold on the top position for 17 weeks. This achievement edges past other legendary chart runs, such as Bryan Adams’ 1991 hit “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You,” which topped the UK charts for 16 consecutive weeks, and Wet Wet Wet’s “Love is All Around,” which held number one for 15 weeks in 1994.
