Fans of Glastonbury Festival are buzzing with speculation after the announcement of Oasis’s 2027 Live ‘27 world tour schedule revealed an intriguing gap that coincides with the festival’s closing night.
The tour is set to kick off on 21 May 2027 at Celtic Park in Glasgow, culminating with a celebrated four-night residency at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire, finishing on 19 September. Notably, during their extensive 11-night stint at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, the band has intentionally left Sunday, 27 June free - the same night as Glastonbury’s finale at Worthy Farm.
Despite this conspicuous break in their tour dates, a performance at Glastonbury appears unlikely. Liam Gallagher addressed the rumours directly on social media platform X, responding bluntly to Oasis Mania, a popular fan page that raised the possibility. On 22 August, Liam wrote, “It’s not HAPPENING so all you croc wearing flag waving st c****s can calm the fk down.”

While Liam’s statement seems clear, fans remain divided. Some expressed scepticism about the band’s suitability for the festival, with comments such as, “I don’t think they are good enough to play at Glastonbury again, maybe the old legends spot at 5 lol,” and “Thanks for that but we are capable of listening to the radio.” Others simply expressed relief, saying, “Glad I’m not going to either.”
Conversely, many supporters remain hopeful, interpreting the date gap as an optimistic sign. One fan commented, “Lovely little Glastonbury Sunday slot there for Oasis,” while another shared, “Do I think they will be at Glasto?… No. Do I still have the biggest hopes seeing that Sunday gap?… Hell yes!!!!! Delusional forever!”
