Nunney First School Shines in Ofsted Report

Nunney First School in the village near Frome, has received glowing praise in a recent Ofsted inspection, with pupils gaining confidence year on year and being treated as individuals by staff, leading to numerous opportunities for personal growth.

The school was lauded for its broad and ambitious curriculum and its focus on celebrating each child’s achievements. Parental feedback from the Ofsted survey further affirmed the positive environment, with 100% of parents and carers expressing their willingness to recommend the school.

Caroline Ford, the newly-appointed headteacher, emphasized the school’s welcoming and nurturing environment and its high academic standards, which enable every student to flourish and build the confidence needed for their future education.

Ray Jones, chair of Governors, highlighted the inspectors' praise for the school’s collective efforts in positively contributing to the students' education, with particular recognition for the Governing Body’s support and influence.

As one of 18 schools supported by The Partnership Trust, Nunney First School also received praise for the positive impact of the Trust’s development programs on staff, ensuring they possess the skills and knowledge to effectively educate the students.

Emily Massey, CEO of the Trust, commended Nunney’s staff, Governing Body, and parent community for their dedication and support, while also acknowledging the remarkable progress under the new headteacher.
