North Petherton Carnival 2025: Essential Road Closures, Parking, and Route Details

Get ready for one of Somerset’s brightest November traditions as North Petherton Carnival takes center stage on Saturday night, November 8, 2025. Part of the prestigious Somerset County Guy Fawkes Carnival Association circuit, this annual event is the fourth of seven spectacular illuminated carnivals lighting up the county this season.

Beginning at 7pm, the procession will showcase dazzling carts, colorful performers, and energetic musical acts, drawing participants from across Somerset, Dorset, Devon, and Wiltshire. Each cart, often reaching lengths of up to 30 meters, dazzles with lights and themed performances inspired by popular children’s stories, iconic films, and historical moments, continuing a rich tradition dating back to 1951.

The procession will start at North Petherton Rugby Club before making its way onto the A38, following Taunton Road, Fore Street, Bridgwater Road, and concluding at Market Car Park by approximately 10:30pm.
