Avon and Somerset Police have concluded their investigation into the incident on April 7 in Weston-super-Mare where an 11-year-old boy suddenly became unwell. After thorough inquiries, no criminal offences have been identified.
Detectives visited the boy and his family following his discharge from hospital. They gathered statements from witnesses and medical professionals to establish the facts surrounding the event.
Tests conducted on a vape device used by the boy and other children prior to the incident revealed no evidence of any harmful substances being added.

He added that the police continue to work closely with local partners to protect residents from harm, including targeting the illegal sale of vapes.
