Jason and Louise Moore, the owners, have been given the green light to sell alcohol for consumption on the premises during specific hours on Wednesdays through Saturdays. Despite some objections from local residents, the couple’s vision for the café as a welcoming and enjoyable space has been positively received.
The café’s owners, who have invested significant effort in renovating the building, aim to offer a variety of refreshments, including afternoon teas, tapas, and wine tasting events. They also plan to provide a unique experience with “creams teas with a fizz.” While there were concerns raised about potential noise and parking issues, other residents have expressed support for the business, emphasizing the importance of backing local establishments.
Following a lengthy debate, the decision was made to grant the licence, allowing the café to introduce alcohol service within the specified hours. This move is set to enhance the local community’s options for socializing and enjoying the serene atmosphere of the area.
