The University of Bath is moving forward with plans to construct eight low carbon blocks of student accommodation at its Claverton Down campus, aiming to accommodate almost 1,000 students. The development includes building over existing tennis courts and the P Car Park, as well as constructing smaller accommodation blocks across the sports pitches. These plans, part of the university’s masterplan, will seek “passivhaus” certification for high energy efficiency.
The university is currently seeking public opinion through a two-day consultation, welcoming the community to share their thoughts on the proposed development. The public consultation sessions will be held at the Innovation Centre, Carpenter House, and the University of Bath Sports Training Village.
If you’re interested in voicing your opinion on this exciting project, mark your calendar for the consultation dates and locations.
