New Somerset Homes Development Set to Welcome Residents by Summer

Construction is well underway for 163 new homes in Midsomer Norton, with a much-anticipated launch of show homes this weekend. Prospective buyers will have the opportunity to visit Somer Meadows on Saturday, May 3, for the launch event.

The development will offer a variety of two, three, four, and five-bedroom properties, along with nearly 8 acres of open space. Additionally, developers have committed to providing a new play area, landscaped footpaths, and a direct bus service to Bath.

Andrea Pilgrim, Sales Director for Barratt Homes Bristol, expressed pride in the delivery of much-needed new homes in Midsomer Norton. Pilgrim also noted the high level of interest and emphasized the sustainable, high-quality aspect of the homes, which are well-suited for families, commuters, and those seeking countryside living with urban conveniences.

With strong initial interest, developers expect the first residents to move in by summer. The new homes are conveniently located, situated less than a mile from a local primary school, two miles from the center of Midsomer Norton, and two miles from Radstock.

While prices for the homes, including the percentage of affordable housing, are yet to be confirmed, the development aligns with Labour’s commitment to delivering 1.5 million new homes.

The launch event is scheduled from 11 am to 4 pm on Saturday, May 3, at White Post, Stratton-on-the-Fosse, Midsomer Norton, BA3 4QA. Guests can anticipate complimentary pizza and drinks and access to free financial advice from the Nominated Mortgage Advisor.
