A new public defibrillator has been installed at a Yeovil nursery, thanks to the efforts of manager Naomi Bartin. Bartin led fundraising for the installation after her sister tragically passed away in her teens due to a lack of proper equipment and procedures at her school.
Bartin expressed her satisfaction with the achievement, stating, “This is such a massive achievement and a personal one for me.” She further explained the impact of her sister’s passing and the community’s response, emphasizing the need to give back to the local neighborhood. Bartin highlighted the significant impact a defibrillator can have in saving lives and expressed pride in providing the facility to support both children and adults in the community.
The Little Discoveries Childcare Ltd, owned by local education provider SS&L, now boasts a defibrillator on-site in Yeovil, with branches in Nunney and Frome as well. The installation aims to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
