Construction is underway for a new £16 million health centre in Trowbridge, with a focus on providing urgent care for minor injuries.
At a health select committee meeting on Wednesday, March 12, councillors emphasized the importance of maintaining a minor injuries unit within the new centre. Caroline Holmes, the interim director at the Integrated Care Board (ICB) in Wiltshire, indicated that the urgent care service at the Trowbridge Community Hospital may see enhancements in the new facility.
Cllr David Vigar acknowledged the outstanding work carried out at the current minor injuries unit, expressing the crucial role it plays in providing quality treatment in close proximity to residents, thereby avoiding trips to Bath.
