New Headteacher Pledges to Uphold Traditional Values at Sexey’s School

Introducing the new headteacher of Sexey’s School in Bruton, Steve Clayson. With over 27 years of experience in education and 17 years in senior leadership roles at secondary schools and a sixth form college, Steve is well-equipped to lead the Church of England state boarding and day school. His vision for the school goes beyond academic excellence, emphasizing the importance of moral and spiritual development in shaping well-rounded individuals.

Steve is eager to work alongside the dedicated staff at Sexey’s School to provide the best possible education for the students. His focus extends beyond academic skills, as he is dedicated to nurturing compassionate and responsible individuals. He aims to ensure that every student receives the necessary support to flourish and achieve success.

Already engaging with staff and students, Steve plans to establish connections with parents, carers, and the broader community in the near future. His appointment marks a new beginning for the school, which operates under the Quantock Education Trust, an organization focused on fostering achievement, culture, and character among young people across its schools.
