New Dentist Practice Opens in Weston-super-Mare to Serve NHS Patients

A brand-new dental practice has opened at Gallagher Retail Park in Weston-super-Mare, aiming to provide essential NHS dental care to around 15,000 local residents. This new facility is the result of a merger between two former surgeries located on Oxford Street and Beaconsfield Road, now combined to create a modern, spacious clinic in the town centre.

The practice is accepting new NHS patients where capacity allows, alongside private patients, with initial check-ups starting at £79. Practice manager Chelsea Pearce explains that the move was driven by growing demand: “Our previous surgeries were no longer sufficient to support the number of patients seeking care. Moving to a state-of-the-art facility lets us offer advanced treatments in a more accessible and comfortable environment.”

With over 30 staff members, including dentists, dental nurses, receptionists, and managers, the expanded team blends experienced clinicians—some who have been with the practice for more than a decade—with new specialists bringing innovative approaches. The surgery offers a comprehensive range of services including implants, aligners, and cosmetic dentistry.

Chelsea emphasizes the importance of community in the clinic’s design and ethos: “We’ve incorporated iconic Weston-super-Mare landmarks into the interior to celebrate the town and underline our commitment to serving its residents. Our long-standing teams and fresh talent combine to ensure high-quality, continuous care for all patients.”

The launch reflects a broader regional challenge, as nearby Crewkerne Dental Care recently faced overwhelming demand, receiving over 4,500 appointment requests in just one day and closing new patient applications within 24 hours.
