A vibrant new cider bar, The Cider House, has opened its doors at Unity Beach Leisure Park in Brean, offering a true taste of Somerset’s rich cider heritage. Featuring a carefully curated selection of local ciders, including favorites like Sheppy’s from Three Bridges near Taunton and Wilkins Cider from Mudgley near Wells, this spot celebrates the region’s deep-rooted cider-making tradition.
Beyond an extensive cider menu, The Cider House serves delicious food and hosts live music events regularly, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. To keep things fresh and exciting, they also rotate ‘guest’ ciders, bringing new flavors and experiences for visitors.
Jonny Green, director of Unity Beach resort, highlighted the importance of honoring Somerset’s cider legacy: “Somerset’s cider-making history spans centuries, evolving from medieval monastic orchards to a defining feature of the county’s agriculture. We’re proud to celebrate that heritage here, supporting local producers and offering an authentic West Country venue.”
