A new authentic cider bar, The Cider House, has opened its doors at Unity Beach leisure park in Brean, offering visitors a true taste of Somerset’s cider heritage. The bar proudly showcases a diverse selection of local ciders, featuring well-known producers such as Sheppy’s and Wilkins Cider.
Sheppy’s cider comes from orchards nestled in Three Bridges near Taunton, while Wilkins Cider is crafted on a family farm in Mudgley, just a short drive from Wells. In addition to a carefully curated cider menu, The Cider House serves delicious food and regularly hosts live music events, enhancing the vibrant atmosphere.
To keep the experience fresh, The Cider House will also introduce rotating guest ciders, providing new flavors and discoveries for visitors. Unity Beach resort director Jonny Green highlighted the significance of the bar: “Somerset has a rich, centuries-old tradition of cider-making, rooted in its agricultural heritage. We are proud to celebrate this by offering a venue dedicated to a drink synonymous with our region.”
