Bath is set to welcome a new luxury tea destination as independent tea brand Bird and Blend prepares to open its latest shop on Burton Street this Friday, August 1. Renowned for their imaginative and quirky blends, Bird and Blend will offer more than 100 teas, ranging from classic favourites to innovative new flavours.
The grand opening celebration will take place on Thursday, August 21, with exciting perks such as free goodie bags and complimentary 20-gram pouches given to the first fifty customers. Tea lovers visiting the Bath shop will also have the unique opportunity to purchase the ‘West Country Pear Cider’ blend, a limited edition flavour available exclusively at Bird and Blend’s Bath and Bristol stores. This blend is especially suited for cold brewing—ideal for staying refreshed during warm summer days.
Co-Founder and Managing Director Mike Turner shared, “Customer experience is at the heart of everything we do. As our online presence grows rapidly, we remain committed to supporting local high streets. Our stores aren’t just retail spaces but community hubs where people can connect, enjoy tea, and engage with our team. We believe there will always be room for magical, in-person experiences, and we’re thrilled to be part of Bath’s vibrant scene.”

Bird and Blend’s imaginative range features blends like Chocolate Digestives, Strawberry Lemonade, and Gingerbread Chai, along with beloved staples such as Builders Breakfast Brew and Earl Grey Crème. Exclusive blends inspired by the region and British culture add a special touch: ‘Bristol Breeze’—a nod to Bath’s neighbouring city—combines Chinese Chunmee green tea with dried apple, blackberry, and blackberry leaves to evoke a cider-like taste. Meanwhile, ‘Bears Like Marmalade,’ inspired by Paddington Bear’s favourite snack, blends orange peel, sumac berries, lemon peel, rosehip, and hibiscus.
Fans of classic British desserts will appreciate the ‘Eton Mess’ blend, packed with rosehip, strawberries, liquorice root, elderberries, hibiscus, and apple pieces, echoing the flavours of the iconic pudding. For those seeking a non-alcoholic cocktail alternative, ‘Mojitea’ offers a refreshing mix of peppermint, lime, lemongrass, and Chinese green tea—a perfect teetotal twist on the mojito.
In addition to the retail experience, Bird and Blend will offer mixology workshops where customers can craft personalized blends and take their creations home, further enriching the community aspect of the shop.
The new Bath store officially opens on August 1 on Burton Street, inviting locals and visitors alike to explore a world of tea beyond the ordinary.
