Brean is set to welcome a stunning £10 million outdoor pool as part of a major upgrade at Unity Beach Holiday Park. Launching this July, the new lido will feature an inviting outdoor pool, private cabanas, and a stylish outdoor restaurant, enhancing the park’s appeal for visitors and locals alike.
This exciting addition follows a series of refurbishments aimed at improving the holiday experience at Unity Beach. Resort director Jonny Green expressed enthusiasm about the developments: “These are exciting times for our owners, holidaymakers, and our local community. Our upgraded pool facilities will encourage more participation in swimming lessons and recreational swimming—not just for guests but for the wider Somerset community.”
Green also highlighted the broader benefits of the investment: “Enhancing our facilities supports local jobs and training, while drawing more visitors to the Somerset coast, which boosts the wider local economy.”

This announcement comes after a difficult period for Brean’s local economy, following the February liquidation of Brean Leisure Park, renowned for its rollercoaster. Importantly, Unity Beach clarified it operates independently of Brean Theme Park, assuring visitors that its facilities, including Brean Splash, Brean Play, and Brean Gym, will continue to operate normally and reopen for the 2026 season with new enhancements.
Looking ahead, Unity Beach Holiday Park also plans to introduce a trampoline park, bandstand, boardwalk, landscaped gardens, and a dog agility area. Additionally, an outdoor activity centre will offer unique experiences such as archery, axe throwing, and rifle shooting, further enriching the resort’s offerings.
