Brean is welcoming a brand-new £10 million outdoor pool complex at Unity Beach Holiday Park, scheduled to open this July. The state-of-the-art lido will feature an expansive outdoor pool, private cabanas, and a stylish outdoor restaurant, offering a fresh recreational hub for both visitors and locals.
This exciting development is part of a wider series of upgrades at Unity Beach Holiday Park. Resort director Jonny Green expressed enthusiasm about the transformation: “These are exciting times for our owners, our holidaymakers, and the local community. Our enhanced pool facilities will boost swimming lessons and leisure activities, not only for our guests but also for the broader Somerset community. This investment creates local jobs and training opportunities while attracting more visitors to the Somerset coast, benefiting the local economy.”
The announcement comes in the wake of recent challenges for Brean’s economy. Brean Leisure Park, famous for its rollercoaster, entered liquidation earlier this year but is expected to reopen by March 21 and remain operational through 2026.

Unity Beach made it clear that their operations are separate from Brean Theme Park, reassuring guests and the community: “Although Brean Theme Park leases land from Unity Holidays, it is an independent business we do not own. We continue to operate as usual, with Brean Play, Brean Splash, and Brean Gym reopening as planned for the 2026 season, featuring numerous improvements as part of our ongoing investment in Unity Beach Resort.”
Looking ahead, Unity Beach Holiday Park also plans to unveil new attractions including a trampoline park, bandstand, boardwalk, landscaped gardens, and a dog agility area. An outdoor activity centre will offer archery, axe throwing, and rifle shooting, making the resort a vibrant destination for all ages.
