Nailsea was painted bright pink in March as the community came together for the ‘Nailsea in Pink’ event, raising an impressive £12,089 for Cancer Research UK.
The town center was transformed with miles of handmade bunting from Portishead Quilters and Weston Quilters. Local groups like Nailsea Knitters and Nailsea in Bloom created pink decorations, while the firefighters assisted in putting them up. Shops and businesses joined in, adorning their windows with vibrant displays. Sweet Pea florist even scattered posies across town for residents to find and donate.
The event also featured a Pink Duck Treasure Hunt that was a hit with children and saw wide participation from schools, churches, pubs, clubs, and other local organizations.
