Musician Jack Cullen recently completed a remarkable 650-mile cycling journey from Edinburgh to the renowned Glastonbury Festival, culminating in a deeply emotional arrival.
The 30-year-old Londoner set out on May 30 alongside his childhood friend George “GK” Kershaw, 33, determined to reach the iconic music event by bike. Reflecting on the experience, Cullen told PA news agency, “It feels amazing and somewhat emotional in a way.” He added, “You forget what you’re doing during it, then suddenly realize, ‘Oh, we’ve been doing this for the last month, and now we’re here.'”
Faced with “horrendous wind and rain,” the duo braved tough weather conditions, though Cullen humorously pointed out that his trusty Birkenstocks managed to survive the gruelling journey. Along the way, they cycled through scenic regions including the Lake District, Manchester, and Liverpool.

Cullen made the most of his route by performing impromptu gigs in unique settings—such as a sauna—and even played a private concert for one devoted fan who regularly travels from Liverpool to attend his shows. “I cycled four hours to meet him and play some new tunes face to face. That was a really special moment,” he shared.
During their time in the Lake District, Cullen filmed a music video for his upcoming RCA Records single, All I Need. The shoot presented its own adventure when the singer nearly lost a drone and spent hours hiking up a mountain to retrieve it.
Though Kershaw initially didn’t have a Glastonbury ticket, Cullen revealed that he was later allowed entry on the condition that he would “do a few bits of work” at the festival.
Before committing fully to music, Cullen was a professional rugby player, having represented Ireland in the U20 World Cup and Six Nations. However, a series of serious injuries, including a torn anterior cruciate ligament and a damaged shoulder in 2016, forced him off the field and into a new passion—songwriting and performing.
Since then, Cullen has steadily built a loyal following across the UK, including more than 20,000 fans on TikTok. He is scheduled to perform at Glastonbury Festival on June 29 at 2:50 pm on the Wishing Well stage, marking a milestone moment following his epic journey.
