A tragic accident on the A358 Mattocks Tree Hill near West Hatch, Somerset, has resulted in the death of a motorcyclist. Emergency services responded to the scene at approximately 10:25 pm on Sunday, March 29, following a collision involving a motorcycle, a Nissan Juke, and a Vauxhall Zafira.
According to Avon and Somerset Police, the two cars were traveling southbound while the motorcycle was heading in the opposite direction toward Thornfalcon. The rider, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is receiving support from a trained family liaison officer.
Two men, aged 40 and 68, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remain in police custody. Due to the ongoing investigation, the A358 was closed until around 3:30 pm on Monday, March 30.
