Motorcyclist Dies in Collision Involving Land Rover and Volkswagen in Collingbourne Ducis

Wiltshire Police have confirmed the death of a motorcyclist following a collision with a Land Rover and a Volkswagen ID.3 on the A346 in Collingbourne Ducis. Emergency services responded to the crash shortly after 10 a.m. on April 19, resulting in the closure of the road for several hours as a thorough investigation was conducted.

The injured rider, a man in his 40s, was airlifted to Southampton Hospital with life-threatening injuries but tragically passed away over the weekend.

Authorities are appealing for witnesses, specifically urging the driver of a blue Audi A1 who was nearby at the time to come forward. The vehicle was seen on the road leading onto the A346 past The Shears Inn around the time of the collision.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson stated, “Our thoughts are with the man’s family, who are receiving support from specially trained officers.”
