Avon and Somerset Police issued an urgent appeal earlier this week to find Alfie, a 12-year-old boy from Bridgwater, who had been reported missing since Tuesday, 18 August.
Alfie is known to often ride an e-scooter and sometimes wears a face covering. He also frequently visits fast food outlets in the Bridgwater area and near Stockmoor Village, close to junction 24 of the M5.
Following the appeal, the police announced that a member of the public reported a sighting, enabling officers to locate Alfie safely. The authorities have expressed gratitude to the media for their coverage and have requested that any online articles be updated accordingly, with the previously issued photograph removed.
