Just outside the charming town of Bruton, the Michelin Star restaurant Osip is broadening its horizons by launching a boutique hotel featuring four elegant en-suite rooms above its famed dining space, opening Tuesday, June 10. Each room—named Avon, Brue, Somer, and Pitt—pays homage to Somerset’s rivers, reflecting the establishment’s deep local ties.
Since opening in 2019, Osip has rapidly gained prestige, earning its Michelin Star within two years and, in 2023, a coveted Green Michelin Star in recognition of its dedication to sustainable gastronomy. The restaurant’s commitment to locality is evident in every aspect, from sourcing produce from its own farms, orchards, and beehives, to incorporating elements of Somerset’s natural beauty in the room designs.
Guests can expect a serene stay in spaces featuring super-king beds, oak flooring, and exposed beams. Each room is thoughtfully furnished with English oak bedside tables handcrafted from trees felled within a 10-mile radius, while fresh flowers from on-site farms will be replenished daily. Luxurious details include freestanding baths in two rooms and spacious walk-in showers in the others, complemented by toiletries crafted using seasonal local herbs.

Upon arrival, visitors will be greeted with a curated selection of refreshments sourced from Osip’s kitchen—freshly baked canelés, house-produced cider, pure cleaver water, local apples, and apple juice—setting the tone for a truly immersive experience. Osip’s seasonal menu further exemplifies its ethos, with staff actively engaging in farm work to deepen their relationship with the land.
Breakfast is served as a generous welcome, beginning with black cardamom buns, granola, yogurt, honey from the restaurant’s bees, and seasonal jams presented at the table. Guests can then enjoy a self-serve array including hay-smoked trout, honey roast ham, regional cheeses like Westcombe Cheddar and Caerphilly, boiled eggs, and an abundant “butter mountain.” Beverage options include tea, coffee, and fresh apple and sorrel juices.
Room rates start at £230 per night, with accommodations available Tuesday through Sunday. Bookings can be made conveniently online, offering guests an unparalleled opportunity to combine Michelin-starred dining with refined, eco-conscious lodging.
