Memorial Football Match to Honor Father Lost in A371 Crash

A heartfelt memorial football match is planned to honor the memory of Michael Knowlson, a beloved father who tragically lost his life in a crash near Wells last month. Michael died at the scene of a collision on the A371 in Dinder at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18.

Michael’s family describes him as “a devoted son, a caring brother, a loving daddy, and a loyal friend.” They expressed their profound sorrow, saying, “We are utterly heartbroken and struggling to come to terms with the loss of Michael. The immense impact he had on our lives means his absence has left a hole that can never be filled.”

To celebrate his life, “Mike’s Match” will take place this Sunday, March 8, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Strode College Sports Centre. Following this, a service honoring Michael will be held on Friday, March 20, at 11 a.m. at St Cuthbert’s Church in Wells, with a burial at Wells Cemetery for family and close friends.
