Masked Men Target Elderly Woman in High-Value Minehead Burglary

Two masked men carried out a targeted burglary at an elderly woman’s home on Glenmore Road in Minehead on the evening of Friday, November 21. Between 6:40 pm and 7:00 pm, the intruders entered the property, stealing a significant amount of cash and two bank cards from a bedroom.

The victim, a woman in her seventies, confronted the men as they were making their way back downstairs. Startled, the burglars fled the scene, leaving the homeowner shaken but physically unharmed. Police believe the burglary was premeditated, given the nature of the theft.

Witnesses described the suspects as wearing dark clothing and face coverings. One man is approximately 6 feet tall with a face covering marked by a yellow symbol, while the second man also wore a face mask. Authorities have not yet identified the suspects.
