Clive’s association with the BBC property show spanned over twenty years, where he became a beloved fixture, recognized for his expert auctioneering skills and approachable demeanor. Outside television, he managed Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers, a business operating from Kent to Cornwall.

Beyond his professional achievements, Clive was honoured with an MBE in the 2019 Queen’s Birthday Honours for his commitment to supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged youth in Kent. His work as president of The Young Lives Foundation (YLF) showed his dedication to making a real difference. Clive humbly admitted the accolade was a surprise, having quietly supported the charity for years.

Reflecting on his role with YLF, Clive shared, “When you talk to children, they say what they think, which is lovely. I’m completely non-judgmental. For many, I’m the only person in their life who isn’t paid to be there.” He highlighted the stability his presence provided to children in care who often face turbulent family and social situations.

Clive Emson’s legacy as a passionate auctioneer and compassionate advocate for young people leaves a lasting impact, fondly remembered by colleagues and fans across the UK.
