Marco Pierre White hails Italian Pizzeria Bath as Bath’s ‘most delicious’ spot

Italian Pizzeria Bath shared the experience on Instagram: “An honour to welcome the legendary Marco Pierre White to our restaurant. A truly memorable visit.”

The post featured footage of Marco sampling a pizza, during which he lauded the dish, saying: “Pepperoni pizza with chilli oil. Now, look how fine the dough is.

“Dough ratio to cheese is perfection. Now the pepperoni. Now, that’s good, that’s very good. Deliciously tasty. You may ask, where am I? The Lower Bristol Road in Bath. Not the most glamorous part of Bath, but one of the most delicious parts of Bath.

“Make a reservation at the Italian Café, Lower Bristol Road, if you want a delicious pizza. Enjoy!”

The post attracted over 23,000 views, with many expressing excitement at spotting the world-renowned chef in Bath. Comments included: “You can’t top a recommendation from Marco,” and “What a cool guy.” Others showed their respect, such as: “Culinary educator and mentor for my generation, before and certainly after! Respect Chef,” and “If he says it’s good then it must be incredible. He’s the OG.”

Italian Pizzeria Bath, also known as Café 84, is located on Lower Bristol Road in Bath. According to their website, “Based on the Lower Bristol Road, La Taverna is our Mediterranean restaurant specialising in Italian cuisine.
