A man’s body was recovered from a canal near Horton Avenue in Devizes, Wiltshire, just before 7 pm on Friday, March 30. Officers responded promptly to reports of a body in the water.
The deceased is believed to be a man in his 40s. Wiltshire Police have stated that there are no indications of suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. Formal identification has yet to be completed, but the man’s family has been notified and is being supported during this difficult time.
A police spokesperson said, “Sadly, a deceased man aged in his 40s was recovered from the canal. While formal identification has not yet taken place, the man’s family have been informed, and our thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time. There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.”
