Man Who Spent Weeks Cleaning Glastonbury Astounded by ‘Treasures’ Left Behind

Two months after this year’s Glastonbury Festival, a man named Vee has shared the surprising “treasures” he uncovered while spending four weeks litter picking across the iconic Worthy Farm venue. Drawing crowds of around 210,000 music lovers, the festival showcased headliners like The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo, but also left behind a trail of forgotten belongings.

In a TikTok video, Vee documented the wide array of items festival-goers abandoned. “I spent a month litter picking Glastonbury Festival — these are the best things I found on the ground,” he captioned the clip.

Working as part of a 75-strong clean-up crew, Vee combed through fields on the Eavis family farm to clear remnants of the event. “Festival-goers dropped loads of expensive stuff — here are some of the most interesting things I picked up,” he said.

Dumping the contents of his rucksack onto a table, Vee showcased an eclectic haul. Among them: a rubber hand, a quirky collection of small spoons—which sparked speculation online that they might be drug paraphernalia—and assorted jewelry including 12 earrings, 10 necklaces, two bracelets, and five rings, one featuring a large Hello Kitty charm.

His finds also included a blue-haired Trolls figure (along with a second missing its hair), small dinosaur toys, four house keys, a rubber squid, miniature rubber ducks, a skeleton arm, and a golden doubloon.

Further treasures revealed a £40 cash stash (which Vee admitted he’d spent), a stick resembling a chocolate flake, Crocs charms, a light switch, a guitar plectrum, a wooden dice, two shells, and a mysterious golden top.

Finishing the video, Vee humorously donned a revealing ladies’ garment he’d found and asked viewers, “Was it worth a month of litter picking?”

In follow-up comments, Vee announced a successful reunion between one found spoon and its owner, promising to return other items if claimants provide proof of ownership.

Social media users expressed mixed reactions. Some criticized the festival-goers’ disregard for the environment, with comments like, “What we leave behind as trash is disgusting,” and lamentations about a throwaway culture contrary to the festival’s “leave no trace” principles.

Others expressed gratitude for the clean-up efforts, with one remarking, “It would be worth it anytime just to enjoy Worthy Farm. Thanks for clearing the site for the beautiful cows.”

Vee’s month-long commitment spotlights both the scale of litter left behind at major festivals and the dedication needed to restore these cherished lands.
