Police are investigating an incident in which a man threw a glass of water at a pub staff member in Burnham-on-Sea, an act now being treated as assault.
The event occurred around 10pm on Friday, May 15, at a pub on Pier Street. According to Avon and Somerset Police, an unidentified man entered the pub and requested a glass of water at the bar. Following a brief interaction, he threw the glass at a staff member.
Fortunately, the employee was not injured. Police continue to communicate with the staff member while the investigation proceeds.

A CCTV image of the suspect has been released to the public in hopes of gathering information. The man is described as a white male in his forties, of slim build, with greying dark hair and light facial hair. At the time, he wore dark clothing and carried a camouflage shopping bag.
Local businesses have been contacted as part of the ongoing enquiries.
