A McDonald’s restaurant in Bristol became the scene of a frightening incident when a young man threw a firework into the staff preparation area while customers were present. Avon and Somerset Police are now investigating and have issued a CCTV image of the individual they want to question.
The incident unfolded over two days. On Sunday evening, October 12, a man kicked the door of the McDonald’s located in Horsefair, shattering one of the glass panels. The following day, October 13, the same man entered the restaurant and hurled a firework into the staff area. The firework struck the order screen before bouncing off and landing near a customer.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported, but the event understandably caused alarm among those inside.

Additionally, efforts to ensure fireworks are sold responsibly and only to appropriate buyers will be intensified in partnership with Trading Standards.
He urged the public to handle fireworks only with care and under adult supervision to avoid tragic outcomes.
