Man Sustains Fractured Jaw in Early Morning Assault at Bath’s Pultney Weir

A man in his 40s suffered a fractured jaw after being assaulted in Bath city centre in the early hours near the popular Pultney Weir on Grand Parade. The attack occurred around 3:10 a.m. on December 18, just days before Christmas, in an area well-known for its picturesque views and frequent visitors.

Avon and Somerset Police have released CCTV images of a man they believe holds key information related to the incident. Described as Black with black braided hair and wearing all black clothing, the individual is being sought to aid the ongoing investigation.

The victim required hospital treatment following the punch that caused his jaw injury. Authorities urge anyone who recognizes the man or has relevant information to contact Avon and Somerset Police.

In their statement on February 12, police said, “We want to speak to the man pictured as we believe he may have information pertinent to our inquiries into this assault.”
