A man sustained fractured ribs along with cuts and bruising following an assault outside the Sass Cafe and Bar in Weston-Super-Mare during the early hours of Saturday, 20 June.
According to Avon and Somerset Police, the victim was attacked between 2:30am and 3:00am by two men who were seen punching and kicking him. A woman who tried to intervene was also pushed to the ground and punched, resulting in minor injuries.
The suspects, unknown to the victims, fled the scene running towards the beach after the incident.

Authorities have released descriptions of the two men sought in connection with the attack. The first individual is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, with short brown hair and a beard. He was wearing a beige striped shirt, white trousers, and white trainers. The second man is also white, around 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a black top with “JEWSON CLEVEDON” printed on the back and a red cap.
Police have made enquiries with the Jewson company regarding the second individual but, while they appreciate the cooperation of the staff, his identity remains unknown. Investigators are keeping an open mind as to whether the clothing signifies any affiliation, and they encourage the public to do the same.

“We are appealing for anyone who recognises the men pictured or has information about the incident to come forward to help bring those responsible to justice,” said a police spokesperson.
