Man Suffers Broken Wrist in Violent Assault in Bridgwater

A 30-year-old man required surgery after sustaining a broken wrist during a violent assault in Bridgwater.

The incident took place on Market Street shortly after 3.30pm on Sunday, 5 July. According to Avon and Somerset Police, the victim was knocked to the ground by the assailant, who then continued to attack him.

The injury to the victim’s wrist was severe enough to necessitate surgical intervention.

Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak with in connection to the assault. He is described as being white, slim build, aged between 18 and 25 years. The individual has blond hair and was wearing a block polo shirt with grey trousers at the time.

Officers have been engaging with witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage as part of the ongoing inquiry into the matter.
