A man in his 30s was stabbed during a serious disturbance on Wednesday evening in Marlborough. Wiltshire Police responded to reports of disorder at around 10:30 pm on September 10 in Garside Way.
The victim sustained serious injuries but is not believed to be in life-threatening condition. The suspect, a 34-year-old man known to the victim, also suffered minor injuries during the altercation.
The 34-year-old was arrested on multiple charges, including affray, grievous bodily harm with intent, assault of an emergency worker, and criminal damage. He remains in custody for further questioning.

Police initially established a scene guard to conduct their enquiries, which has since been lifted. It is understood that both men had visited The Pelican Inn in Froxfield earlier that evening.
Detective Sergeant Andrew Morley from Central CID appealed to the public for information: “While this appears to be an isolated incident between two known individuals, we are conducting thorough enquiries. We urge anyone who witnessed the disorder, the events leading up to it, or who was at The Pelican Inn on Wednesday evening and saw anything suspicious to come forward.”
