A man in his nineties was seriously injured after being struck by a car at the Tesco petrol station on Ditton Street, Ilminster, early Tuesday morning. The incident occurred around 7:45 a.m. on July 14.
According to Avon and Somerset Police, a white car collided with the pedestrian on the forecourt before fleeing without stopping to assist or provide any information. The victim sustained serious injuries, though they are not believed to be life-threatening, and is currently receiving treatment in hospital.
Police are actively reviewing CCTV and other footage from the area as part of their investigation. Authorities urge anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam or doorbell recordings to come forward.
