A 52-year-old man from Bradford on Avon has been sentenced to nearly four years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting, strangling, and physically assaulting a woman in her own home.
Braham Aissaoui appeared at Swindon Crown Court on 3 August 2026 where he admitted charges of intentional strangulation, assault by beating, and sexual assault. The offences occurred over several days between 26 and 30 March this year.
Following his arrest, Aissaoui, a British national, was remanded in custody due to the risk he posed to the victim and the serious nature of his crimes. The court imposed a prison term of three years and nine months. Additionally, a seven-year restraining order was issued, barring him from contacting the victim.
