A man sustained arm injuries after being attacked in Midsomer Norton, Somerset, on Thursday morning. Avon and Somerset Police were alerted by the ambulance service at 7:22am on July 16, following reports of the assault.
Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of a woman in her thirties on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm without intent. Additionally, a man of similar age was arrested on suspicion of common assault and driving while unfit due to alcohol.
Both suspects have been released on conditional police bail as the police investigation continues.
