Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was punched in the face during an incident at a Taunton convenience store.
The assault occurred at around 11 a.m. on Monday, December 22, outside a store on East Reach. The victim, a man in his thirties, stepped in when another male became aggressive towards a woman inside the store. As a result, he was punched in the face at the entrance.
The victim sustained jaw pain, a headache, and dizziness but did not require hospital treatment. Avon and Somerset Police have reviewed CCTV footage and taken witness statements as part of their ongoing investigation.

Officers are now seeking the public’s help to identify the suspect, who may hold crucial information about the incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police on 101, quoting reference number 5225358473, or to complete an online appeals form.
Information can also be given anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or using their online form. No personal details are recorded, and callers will not be required to speak to police or attend court.
