A man in his 70s tragically died at Leigh Delamere services along the M4 near Chippenham on Sunday afternoon. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 4pm following a medical emergency. The Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance was witnessed landing in the lorry car park as part of the response.
Wiltshire Police confirmed the man suffered a medical episode and passed away at the scene. Authorities have stated that the circumstances surrounding the death are not considered suspicious. A police spokesperson offered condolences, saying, “Our thoughts are with the man’s family during this difficult time.”
