Man in 70s Suffers Serious Head Injury After Collision with Smart Car in Langport

A man in his 70s has been hospitalized with a serious head injury after being struck by a Smart car in Langport, Somerset. The collision occurred at approximately 2:25 p.m. on Monday, May 5, at Parrett Close.

Emergency services, including paramedics and Avon and Somerset Police, promptly responded to the scene. According to police reports, the Smart car collided not only with the elderly pedestrian but also with two stationary vehicles.

The driver of the Smart car was unharmed and remained at the site following the accident. Meanwhile, the injured man was urgently transported to hospital for medical treatment.
