A man in his 40s was found with serious and unexplained injuries near the Tesco Extra car park in Yeovil on Sunday night, August 24. The victim was discovered at around 10:20 pm in Queensway Place and remains in hospital receiving treatment.
In connection with the incident, a teenager has been arrested and is currently in police custody. Avon and Somerset Police have established a crime scene at the Tesco car park and are actively conducting enquiries.
Detective Inspector Adam Knee stated, “Our investigation is still at an early stage, and at this point, it is unclear how the injuries were sustained. We are keeping an open mind as to whether this was an accident or involved deliberate actions by another person.”

The police are appealing for witnesses who were in the Queensway Place area between 9 pm and 11 pm or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the surrounding area. Any information could prove vital in understanding the circumstances of this incident.
