A man in his 50s is currently in hospital following a serious head injury discovered on King George Avenue in Bridgwater during the early hours of Friday, June 19. Avon and Somerset Police were alerted by the ambulance service just before 5 a.m. and responded promptly to the scene.

The man was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where his injuries are described as potentially life-changing. Authorities have informed his next of kin.
