Man Found Critically Ill Near Tesco in Yeovil Following Unexplained Injuries

A man in his 40s remains critically ill in hospital after being found with unexplained injuries near a Tesco Extra in Yeovil, Somerset. The victim was discovered at Queensway Place around 10:20 pm on Sunday, August 24.

Avon and Somerset Police quickly established a crime scene at the nearby Tesco Extra car park on Monday, August 25, as they launched an investigation into the incident. Officers have described the circumstances as unclear and continue to keep all possibilities open.

A teenager was arrested in connection with the incident in the early hours of Monday. After being questioned, the young man has been released on bail as police carry on with their enquiries.

A police spokesperson confirmed: “A man remains critically ill in hospital after being found injured in Yeovil on Sunday night. We have spoken to witnesses who have provided additional information, and have questioned a man who was subsequently released on bail. Our investigation is ongoing, and we remain open-minded about the events leading to the injuries.”

Authorities are urging anyone with further information to come forward as the investigation progresses.
