A man shared his story of enduring a nine-hour flight from the UK to America next to an unruly teenage passenger and the calculated revenge he planned in response. Seated beside a mother and her roughly 18-year-old daughter, he anticipated a peaceful journey but was quickly disappointed.
The teenager, consistently removing her shoes, repeatedly kicked and elbowed him with her smelly socked feet while loudly chatting. At one point, she even woke him by kicking him and hitting him with her jacket. Just before landing, the mother and daughter began a physical scuffle that spilled over onto him, prompting him to ask for civility.
Refusing to let their behavior go unchallenged, the man patiently waited until the seat belt sign turned off, then deliberately blocked their path as they rushed to exit early from the very back of the plane. Holding down his tray table and focused on his screen, he declared, “Patience is a virtue, we’ll be last off anyway,” much to their frustration.

He then took his time retrieving his bag from the overhead compartment and cleverly positioned it to obstruct their way once more. In a final move, he “accidentally” brushed the daughter with his jacket while getting his luggage, further slowing her down. A large family behind him also helped to block their exit. The man made it off the plane five minutes before them, feeling satisfied with his subtle but effective retaliation.
